harry_potter_half_blood_prince_dumbledore_potterI am a big Potter fan, I’ve read all the books, watched all the movies, numerously, and I personally beam every time someone mentions his name. My favorite movie of the series remains the Alfonso Caurón directed Prisoner of Azkaban. The last one (Order of the Phoenix) was extraordinary as well, it marked David Yates directorial debut of the series, he’s directing the sixth, Half-Blood Prince,  and the two parts of the seventh, Deathly Hallows (one released 2010, and the other 2011). Back to our main movie, early reviews are calling it the best so far, and even going as far as saying that it’s a strong contender for the best picture race at the 2010 Oscars, now that it has 10 slots, not 5. I highly advise you to watch it in HQ. This is the most talked about bit of the most talked about award show of the year. It was well worth the wait, Beyonce did the job required and more. She wowed the audience, and overawed her performing partners. I for one, wouldn’t want to be performing with Beyonce if I was Vanessa Hudgens, I mean, come on.

The biggest event of the year, yes it is. It’s on tonight on ABC, and for us lovelies in the middle east, Fox Movies. It’s hosted by Hugh Jackman. There hasn’t been any official announcements on who’s to present, to make it all more exciting. Rumor has it that Jennifer Aniston is presenting and Beyonce’s performing, which should be good, that girl knows how to put on a show.

Moviedar: Coraline

*I demand you watch the trailer*
What is better than creepy little animated girls? nothing. Coraline opened in theaters today in the USA, and will probably never see the light of day in Kuwait’s Cinemas, fools. It’s the story of a little girl who always dreamed of a better world, finding a secret passageway in her newly-moved-in house, that leads to a different world, one where everything is creepily perfect, and everybody has buttons for eyes. It stars Dakota Fanning and Teri Hatcher.

A new poster has been released for the already-released-for-a-few-weeks movie that proudly displays the awards and nominations it garnered in this short period of time. This is a really smart move to attract more viewers to actually SEE the movie. The American audience is the worst, in everything, both movies and music.
