Song: Make Me Whole
Artist: Amel Larrieux
Album: Infinite Possibilities
In short: A beautifully harmonious love song with passionate lyrics “Your eyes are the windows to heaven/Your smile could heal a million souls/Your love completes my existence/You’re the other half that makes me whole”.

I am an advocate of honesty, most of the time I’m too honest that it gets to into troubles, which really puzzles me; Should I be honest? should I not be honest?
The most crucial thing about this whole riddle is knowing when to and not to be honest. While most of it boils down to the person in question, it partly has to do with the way you “lay it down”.
I know for a fact that most of the times people ask your opinion on something, they want you to choose the answer they want to hear, even if it’s not the one you’d choose. For example, when someone asks you “Do you miss me?” what other than “YES” could you possibly say? Really. IF you don’t miss them, they’d still want to hear you say “YES I DO”, it just makes them feel better even if they know you don’t but having said yes makes all the difference, which is idiotic.
It’s a very confusing world, with many personalities, many patterns, and no one can keep track of everything. This is why I say honesty IS the key, no matter what the consequences are, because in the end people around you will know you were being honest, and most importantly you’ll feel better by just being honest.
I’ll leave you with this gem of a song. Truthfully by Brandy:
“Well when they lie
They have to lie again
‘Cause the lying never ends
Even if you don’t believe
You will always hear the truth
Come from me
(Baby) I’ll never lie
And you’re the reason why
I will always tell the truth
Cause the truth resides in me“

There is this really enjoyable article I read here, it basically boils down to saying that brain scans reveal men are tuned to external events, while women pay attention to what’s inside them. This made me think for a long time about how different men today are from men decades before. Men and women have both changed dramatically since then, but I think men changed more than women, and reading that article it made sense. The world is changing rapidly, nothing is stable anymore, there is always the “next” thing to either fear or look for. Men are more respondent to external events than women, so they’re change is more severe. Men today are nothing like those of past, not saying that this is a bad thing of course (eventhoughitkindais), but think about it, if we, men, are changing and tuning to external events, what will become of men 60 or so years to come?, when the world is very different than what it is now. Women of course are changing too, but not as vigorous as men are, that’s why you can see more resemblances in women today with those of 60 or so years ago than in men.
You can link this to many, many, many things, and you can compare people today to those before, and it’ll make more sense.
Again, this is just a matter of opinion and my whole take on the article, not solid facts, so voice your opinion and tell me your take!
ps: click on the picture to see its full size, very, very much worth it.
This all made me think of this:

Chocolate, the tastiest ingredient on earth, here refers to the tastiest songs, music, and artists. No one sings love songs like black people, no racism, no strings attached, it’s just facts. Soul music, R&B, Motown, are all primarily black music, and love is the subject of 99% of those songs. So here’s a little compilation of love sings, that’s sure to put a smile on your pretty face when heard! So hurry up and get loadin’.
I could sleep to the sound of Jill talking, let alone singing, here’re some of her best love-filled songs, her writing is immense, especially the second and third ones! Fact: Janet Jackson said Come See Me is her favorite track off Jill’s album while promoting Why Did I Get Married? in which they starred alongside each other.
I Wanna Be (Your Baby)
I know it’s not her best, but I love that song, it came up while shuffling, and I just stood still listening to the lyrics defining and dissecting a love so strong, and “laying it on the line”
Spending Time With You
Any Time, Any Place
Love 2 Love
No one does sexy love ballad like Ms. Jackson, a song that’s very underrated and ignored is “Love 2 Love” which I think is beyond great, the beat, the vocals, the overall production, it’s a hard-hitting one!
Nothing Even Matter
I won’t say a word, listen to the lyrics.
Never Felt This Way (Interlude)
Taken from her debut album, this beautifully crafted interlude was dismissed/ignored by the public because of it being a mere interlude, I think it’s better than half of the album, if you’ve never heard and you like any Alicia song, just make sure to grab it while it’s here!
Make Me Whole
“Make Me Whole” is a modern classic, or it should be. It’s the IT song for lovers, not exaggerating when I say it’s one of the best songs I have heard my whole life. For Real is just beautiful, the high-notes towards the end are crazy, didn’t know she had it in her!
1st & Love
“1st & Love” is one of the best songs on Brandy’s latest LP, it stood out immediately, it has a killer hook, an epic chorus, and beautiful cutesy lyrics! “Fall” is also a gem of hers, “When you find someone that means so much to you, giving all you got is easy to do”

Song: I Got Trouble
Artist: Christina Aguilera
Album: Back To Basics
In short: The first song I loved from the 30 seconds snippets released before the album, it was recorded with a vintage mic when Christina had a cold [intentional], so it’s messiness gives it a whole different vibe to everything you’ve recently heard. Most definitely a highlight, and an all-time Christina favorite. Download it now, that’s an order.

Ciara is now pulling the JT card, with her now-declared buzz single “Go Girl” peaking at 78 on the Billboard Hot 100, and then dropping out, and the first “official” single “Never Ever” doing worse at #96, she pulled JT out of the hat, and now we have this collab, which i think is hot, it’s very “Justified”, very old-school Justin. I hope this does much better than the previous two songs, and at the very least help pinning a release date!

Who: SoHo Dolls
About: I first heard from them in an episode of Gossip Girl, I instantly fell in love with the song, and soon enough the whole album “Ribbed Music For The Numb Generation”. Their still is very weird, it mixes everything from jazz to electronica to pop to rock..etc. I could go on forever. Here are the two songs featured on the show, and funnily enough they’re both featured in a stripclub scenes, which is one of the many feels of the album, it’s very sexy.
