My very dear friend Abdullah over at Khaleejesque wrote an excellent and very thorough summation of the upcoming Fall TV shows. Featuring both new and returning shows, including everybody’s favorites (Desperate Housewives, Grey’s Anatomy, Dexter, and many more). Here is the link to his article, and here’s a YouTube playlist I made of all of the mentioned shows’ promos, excluding 30 Rock, cause I couldn’t find a promo/trailer for the upcoming season. I was going through my list of local blogs and found some of them (iLSuL6aNa, and Blushberry) posted about Brownies Delight, with the latter saying they’re the best and encouraging people to try them, so I did. What’s it like? It’s not good, but it’s not bad as well. I ordered them with very high expectations, and I was impressed with the packaging quality, it’s very neatly done, and very fresh when it arrived, but I was let down when I got to try them, they’re a bit dry and spongy. The best brownies in Kuwait are the ones from Choowy Goowy, Chocolate Bar (not all time, but they’re a hit sometimes) and Crumbs, although both of them aren’t THAT good. I have yet to have a tasty brownie in Kuwait, other than home made ones. I wouldn’t say don’t try it, but I won’t recommend it as well.

A few days ago, it hit me like a big yellow school bus, that this blog is MINE. I was keeping it for music/movies/tv strictly (well, almost), but there’s nothing that tells me that it’s all I should write about it. It’s my space, my place, I can write about anything I want, so therefor, forget the mostly-music orientation of the blog, and be ready to see much more. Of course music will still be dominant, because it is my passion after all, but there’s going to be more other exciting beginnings, and no endings to any of the posts you’re used to, and love.
For the heck of it:

Here’s the first part to a hopefully successful series of posts. Here are some of my movies to look out for in 2009. They range from blockbusters, to documentaries, to foreign films, to independent movies and then back to blockbusters.
Spinning Into Butter, lol this is one ugly poster!
The Private Lives Of Pippa Lee, big great cast, and seemingly INTERESTING.
Orphan, I personally can’t wait to watch this. Creepy kids are always LOVELY to watch.
Obsessed, keep an eye out for B and Ali’s fight scene, hilarious.
Moon, this looks REALLY promising, I can’t wait to watch it.
Alien Trespass, I really really really can’t wait to watch this one!
Powder Blue, interesting cast (Hiya Lisa Kudrow). This is the movie with Jessica Biel’s big stripping scene.
We’ve all been scared by Stephen King’s iconic clown. Yes, we had our turn, now it’s time for the kiddies of this time to have a taste. Yes, it’s being remade.
Obviously it won’t be as scary as the first one, because somehow movies these days just don’t have that “IT” factor (no pun intended). Anyways, here’s a quote:
“Inspired by the success of the Friday the 13th reboot, Warner Brothers has decided to remake Stephen King’sIt for the big screen. The 1990 version of It (that was actually made for TV) has often been referred to as one of the scariest movie of all-time. Lin Pictures and Vertigo Entertainment are developing this new version as a fresh adaptation from Stephen King’s original novel. Dave Kajganich, of The Invasion and Creek as well as the upcoming Pet Sematary remake, will write the script. These rights have been floating around Hollywood for a while, but it was Warner Brothers who decided to finally give it another chance.”

I’ve seen many movies in my life, but I have never seen one so beautiful, it’s not the best movie, but it’s the best looking one. The scenery is breathtaking, the story is compelling to say the least, it’s definitely one of my favorite movies. It’s the kind of movie you’d want to watch over and over again to figure out the story well, and to have the beauty sink in, I urge you all to watch the movie, I have no idea why it wasn’t nominated for an Oscar for at least best cinematography. Watch it if you could get your pirating hands on a copy, or better yet, buy it. Check the images below to see how “heavenly” the photography is!

I haven’t finished the game yet, but played the first chapter, and it is FINE. It’s like a much better RE4. The graphics are nothing short of amazing, the controls as well. There really isn’t much for me to say at this point other than if you’re a fan, go get your hands on it, and get hooked. One bad thing about the game [from my perspective] is that it became more of a thriller-adventure type game, not horror. I used to get scared shitless when my big brother used to play the first one, and yes, I know I was younger, but still, this has lost the feeling of “horror”, but it still is a great game, and seems to have lots of re-playability value.
